From the corner of an empty library, you can hardly tell that there is, in fact, a figure sitting behind a obnoxious pile of books. His feet rest on separate, faltering stacks of textbooks and binders. He looks quite content in his place, a worn bulky edition of Boating Equivalency Examinations covers his expression as a small humming tune can barely be recognized from the entrance. Barely nodding his head with a mental melody, the presence of another student alerts his senses almost immediately. The glint in his eyes flicker upwards above the threadbare spine, the humming tune comes to halt as he intakes a breath of excitement. Visitors, what a gift!
He reflexively drops the obstacle between him and whoever he happens to have the pleasure of meeting; a wolfish grin stretched across his face in an alarming manner. Instead of welcoming, the brutal expression piercing his victim followed by the all-too-superficial smile indicate an air of uneasiness. He cocks his head to the side with confidence radiating in his cheeks, you can already tell this probably wasn’t a smart idea. Before you can wince from the sheer cockiness he illuminates, his eyes travel down your figure slowly before bouncing back up. Is he checking you out? Gross, the blood rushes to his cheeks almost immediately and blooms around his sharp features. He looks almost too pleased with himself, his teeth sink into his bottom lip with a sadistic glance upwards. He suddenly looks incredibly punchable in his imperious seat, he opens his mouth before you can bother to retort against his course expression.
"Pleasure to see you, I don’t get many visitors in my lonesome quarters. Are you lost?"
"Is there something on my shoes…?"
Seymour looked down at the same time the other boy did. What was he looking at? But the boy had moved on, already commencing the conversation.
"Oh, no, I’m not! I just came to the library for some horticulture stuff."
Wow. Seymour just can’t get a clue, can he?
For one obvious, one oblivious, it seems.
"Hey there! I haven’t seen you in the halls before. Do you coop yourself up all this time in the library? Reading is great, but so is going outside. Anyways, I’m Seymour Amello! How are you?"
Seymour widened his smile, happily thinking about the other student’s cool blue hair. It really added to his sense of confidence! Seymour then contemplated dying his own hair, but that was a thought for later.
